About Elizabeth LockardElizabeth’s love of the written word began the first time she sat down at a computer in Kindergarten. She wrote a two-sentence story (which her mom still has somewhere), and she was hooked. That first taste of "the story" started her on a steady diet of Encyclopedia Brown, Five Minute Mysteries, The Cooper Kids and Wally McDoogle.
As she got older, her literary tastes matured (although that was really the only thing about her that did). She grew to love such characters as Amelia Peabody (from Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody Mysteries), Will Graham (from Thomas Harris' Red Dragon), and Sophie Winston (from Krista Davis' Domestic Diva Mysteries), and her writing lengthened from two sentences to... well, a lot more sentences. Elizabeth lives in Phoenix, AZ with her husband of five years, their son and two dogs. The dogs don’t appreciate her taking time out of their busy play schedule to write, but they grudgingly allow it. Her favorite genres to read and write are mystery and thriller, with a bit of humor thrown in for good measure. (Maybe she's read one too many thrillers, or maybe she's just naturally paranoid, but whatever the reason, Elizabeth has decided to not post photographs of her son on the Internet. But he's adorable. You'll just have to take her word for it.) |
