For your enjoyment, "How Braveheart Should Have Ended"....
Have you ever read a book or watched a movie and thought, "That's not how I would have ended it." You may even go through that with your own stories. Well, this video is for you.

It's a beautiful day. The sun is shining. The coffee is brewing. The laptop is... well, it's doing what laptops do. And I'm ready for another year of writing, rewriting and rewriting again. Why am I ready? Because I took a vacation and turned my brain off. That's why.
I have a migraine, so instead of writing a post, I'm sharing a favorite cartoon. And as the month of November draws to a close, I want to wish good luck to those of you participating in NaNoWriMo!
In honor of National Novel Writing Month, I'm posting a nice, distracting video. Take a break from your writing and enjoy! This has to be one of the funniest videos I've ever seen. If you take your writing seriously and have ever run into a non-writing writer (someone who talks a big game but invests no time at all in the craft), you'll get a kick out of this.
We’ve all heard the question before: if you could have dinner with any five people, who would they be? Well, today I’m asking that same question, but with a small twist. If you could have dinner with any five authors – living or dead – who would they be?
I'm a big fan of words. I love them. Almost too much. I love to know how to use them, and I love learning their origins. If you're also a fan of words and language, then the video below should tickle you pink... or yellow (the color of smiley faces, of course)... Here's "The Three Little Pigs" in the style of Shakespeare, by John Branyan.
![]() Ah, yes. The evil pen at work again. Check out Savage Chickens (isn't that a great name?) to see more awesome cartoons. There's something magical and elusive about a wonderful first line. It's in those first few words that you draw a reader in or else inspire them to put the book down and get something to eat instead. The first line is the first impression, and it's true what they say; you don't get a second chance for a first impression.

AboutCalled "The Semi-Sane Writer", this blog used to have its own home. However, it felt lonely and decided to join the rest of the author's information on this site. The author took pity on the poor, lonely blog and very nicely relocated it. Categories
